Bio"Freefalling" by Tom Petty makes me happier than pretty much anything in the world. I have a wife, two boyfriends, one soulmate and a heterosexual life partner, so life is pretty rad. I'm right in the middle of becoming a grown up person, and it's amazing and breathtaking and excrutiatingly painful, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I refuse to waste another second apologizing for my life, my decisions, and who I am. I want desperately to be the strongest, most independent person you know, but the honest to God truth is that I'm really intensely vulnerable. I'm a woman, which means you could probably spend your whole life trying to figure me out and not even get halfway there. But I don't know... I like that about myself :o) I believe in God and even though it's not right on the surface all the time, it's a huge part of my life and who I am. I have a tendency to be a big smart ass, but I've got a whole lot of hope for the world. I have possibly the biggest case of wanderlust the world has ever seen. I'm looking into it. I couldn't survive without my passport. Arabic is the most beautiful language I've ever heard. I could look at the globe all day and not be bored for a second. I just want to soak up all the knowledge I can, you know? To be at the end of my life and be totally saturated with memories and experiences and relationships and good food and fancy drinks and laugh lines. I want to look in the mirror at ninety and see weatherworn cheeks. I guess what I'm getting at is that I want to EXPERIENCE life and really get to the guts of it; like feel out the whole spectrum of human emotion, you know? I love India. I love Morocco. I love Egypt. I love anything that gives you a big rush of adrenaline. I love waking up in the morning and putting on MAC makeup and skirts that twirl and matching my belt to my purse, but I'm the happiest and most comfortable in my sweats around a campfire or with my toes in the sand at the beach and the wind in my hair in a completely un-glamourous way. I like to spell words the British way sometimes. I'd like to be an Audrey Hepburn, but the truth is that I'm probably a lot more like Katherine. I'm not the smartest, prettiest, or most original girl you'll meet by a long shot, but I've got a really good heart and my life is absolutely going to be an adventure, and that's worth everything.
